Ok I said I was going to post a screenshot of the plugin in action, well I am no liar so here it is:
As you can see it’s pretty straight-forward. You right click on a song >> Plugins >> Show similar artists. A list of similar artists will appear. Select one and google it.

First of all thanks for yr. work… I was using mpd with pympd GUI and missed “similar artists” feature in such a great app that is QL.
Second, kinda feedback… I find useful to modify yr. plugin to show last.fm artist page instead of last.fm homepage when clicking “visit last.fm”.

You have a valid point, about showing last.fm’s artist page! My initial idea was basically just to give some free promo to last.fm/audioscrobbler for using their incredible database. But going to last.fm’s artist page achieve just the same goal while being more relevant to the plugin user. If you don’t mind, I’ll fix this in the next version of the plugin! :)
About the typos:
I used audioscrobbler.net instead of .com because .com seems to redirect to last.fm (for me) while .net actually goes to the audioscrobbler’s database service! You were right about the other typos though! (scrubbler instead of scrobbler and Simliar instead of Similar). Thanks for that! :)
